Body shaming with bad justification.

"These people do a bad thing, so I will also."

There's nothing more fragile than trust in a counterparty.

Nice. Ad hominem.

A logical fallacy.

A perfect finish.

Appreciate the chat.

You've lost me, sorry. I don't understand the relevance of this. Possibly my own failing.

That being said, you seem convinced that how I feel is your responsibility, so... perhaps it's your fault I feel this way?

I'm struggling to understand a lot of your supporting literature.

Empathy is a skill.

Not all people have it.

Are those without empathy responsible for how other people feel?

Further, the definition doesn't even mention responsibility. Nor should it, as a dictionary is not for moral instruction.

How brave.

The only way to effectively use this platform is to turn off all the sensitivity / content "safety" filters, because a lot of the content gets labelled (seemingly arbitrarily?) as violating one of them.

This seems, ironically, unsafe.

#Bitcoin is apolitical.

Hodlers are not.

Neither are its detractors.

I think #Bitcoin is for anyone,

And is misunderstood by many who it would otherwise serve.

Curious,

What do they need protection from, in your view?

Genuine question.

Are you talking about derivative financial products that may not be honestly backed by the asset?

Further, I'm not "defending" Elon Musk. I don't defend or support people. I defend and support ideas.

The idea I was defending here is that one ought to have compelling evidence before casting aspersions and prefer basing opinions / behaviour on verified fact rather than unverified speculation.

I'm not disputing the physics of cause and effect.

Only that I'm not responsible for what others do, say, feel.

By the same logic, I could argue that you're responsible for how I feel. Then, you'd be open to any bad-faith assignment of guilt from me. I could call your rebuttal a "harmful attack".

I wish you luck in maintaining the prerequisite preference falsification.
November 16, 2024 at 1:20 AM
Looks highly effective.
November 16, 2024 at 1:14 AM
I'm not responsible for other peoples' maintenance of focus or emotional moderation.
November 16, 2024 at 1:12 AM
Have you met someone you disagree with yet?
November 16, 2024 at 12:55 AM
You don't have to do what everyone else is doing.

You can be you.

I hope its replacement is conducive to civil public discourse.

Should the USA split into separate Blue and Red nation states?

I lament your cat's suffering.

I'll be interested to see how effective blocklists are. Perhaps X will reinstate them. I imagine they're prone to abuse.

Difficult.
November 16, 2024 at 12:31 AM
Haha. Good evening, friend. How's your cat?

Bots certainly are a problem. I predict they will become a problem here, too.
November 16, 2024 at 12:25 AM
Sorry. I wasn't clear.

I meant "free" in the sense that it costs effort.

Not necessarily money.
