One reason I like the Canadian system of government is that the Prime Minister and its cabinet is frequently taken to task directly by not only the media, but also directly by the opposition. Watching a press secretary handle important policy questions on behalf of a leader is so foreign to me.

Okay Bluesky - I am going to try out all kinds of different services to see where they take me. Here are the questions I have for the world right now:

I think I am mourning the loss of an online community I once had with varied interests, passions and personalities. Not sure if my resolution is to retry building that community or to give it up all together (at least for a year).

I guess I am joining the Bluesky insodus (my new word) with the hopes that the content will add to society.

On the way to the new year, I am already thinking about how 2024 will be different from 2023. Lots of things I'd like to change, but are out of my scope of influence. But lots of things in my scope of influence. More french language is one. More daily exercise (without falling off the wagon) is two.
