Conservatives want to be moderate so badly. They want to claim open-mindedness. This is why they use insane images like this. “I’m not far right, you’re just sooo far left it makes me look far right. But really, I’m normal. I’m in the middle. I have common sense.” Yada yada.

On January 23, I wrote a modernized version of Martin Niemoller’s First They Came. As a result, I was called delusional, a fear monger, a psychotic liberal, etc. It’s been less than 8 months. How do we think it’s aged? #poetry #politicalart #abolishice

I published this book nearly a year ago. And in just that year, the realities within this book have leaped closer at a horrifying rate. #politicalart #readingispolitical #booksarepolitical #bookrecommendations #indieauthor #blackmirror #fahrenheit451 #america

With everything happening right now in LA with the ICE raids, the protests, and the sending of National Gaurds, this poem that I wrote just days after Pumpkin Spice’s inauguration feels like it needs another posting. It is a revisting of Martin Niemoller’s prolific poem “First They Came.”

Protect the Children, a poem about lies, hypocrisy, and the false morality of an entire political movement.

In 1946, Martin Niemoller wrote the crushing poem ‘First They Came.’ Today, it seems the message has been lost on the world. So I re-wrote it for today’s situation. And the folks on IG were…well…I’ve put some of their comments here for you to read.

The crumbling of a nation does not happen overnight. It happens slowly. Its an accumulation of actions and compliance. It is not only the speeches from stages, but the silences of the every day person. It will not happen overnight. But each night brings the day closer.

This is not just an indication that TikTok will likely come back but a terrifying warning that the world after Trump’s second inauguration is gojng to be drastically different than the world we live in today. Brace yourselves. They may have won this battle, but we cannot surrender the war.

Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
