“Primitive” literally has me in tears.

What do you mean “primitive” Becky?

Do you think pre-agricultural humans were out here with a wood lathe crafting coffee tables in-between hunting and gathering?

I just randomly saw a photo of Eckhart Tolle for the first time and I am both bewildered and somehow not surprised that he looks the way he does.

How does he somehow look nothing like you would imagine while also looking exactly like you would imagine?

I have written two different one-page précis with annotated table or contents.

I’m not sure which tone will work better. One remains more academic and the other has a more popular tone.

I guess it’s really more about which version I want to write.
Should I submit a book proposal based on my thesis? I just reformatted based on the standard format for a trade paperback and its 162 pages. So I would have to do a lot more to have a full book imho.

Is there a sword for structuring poetry this way? I assume there might be if each line had actually decreased in words/syllables, but structuring it this way (with having the final line the same length as the first) tickles my brain in a way I like.
Planting seeds in neglected garden beds.

I keep forgetting to water the flowers.

Your love blossoms like dandelions

In the cracks of the pavement.

I’ll gather them come spring

And weave you a crown.

Letting the breathe

Between us be

Our only

Prayer

Just wrote an evil monologue I might use if I choose to cameo as at the villain in a friends D&D campaign. The villain is ultimately the character I played for years in the campaign we played as kids who became a sort of avatar for an eldritch deity.

You don’t have to feel sorry for religion or churches; most don’t deserve it. But there’s a prevailing theory that all churches operate financially at a level like a megachurch when the reality is that there are plenty of churches that rake in less than most small businesses, even without taxes

Carried the teens and tweens to watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. It was good, but it was so damn long. I always forget how lengthy Japanese films can be.

“The Carpenter from Nazareth” continues to be my favorite way to refer to Jesus. It’s been an intentional practice the last few years in an attempt to acknowledge that Christ’s life and work was rooted in a place and his experience as a laborer.
