Thank you Adroit editors for publishing this poem. It’s a hard one, but I’m grateful to Ada Limon’s
poem Downhearted for the lattice work that helped me write this.

Couple of poems in The Southern Review’s winter issue. Take a listen to me and mine and others. Might as well be my cat on the cover!

My book Flatlands is one of these titles. Poetry on sale and a good cause? What’s not to love?
For Women's History Month, we are featuring titles that address women's experiences.

These titles are on sale for 25% off until March 31st. And for each copy that is sold from this roster, we will donate $1 to the National Women's Law Center.

“She let me touch them one by one.”

This is a beautiful poem.

I just started reading The Valley. The form used in these poems feels exactly right.
I hardly ever let my poem’s lines have space within them, but Rodriguez’s poems are inspiring me.

I am a Febos fan. But esp. love this meditation on time and beauty and growing older.

“I want the face I had before I ever smoked a cigarette. I want the face I had before I ever broke my heart. I want the face I had before I knew it was beautiful. I would know what to do with it now.”

This feels very likely. Zuck with tape over his laptop camera likely.
the rich people pushing AI on everything are going to be the same rich people who will brag they can afford to send their kids to a school with human teachers
UCLA is creating an entirely AI-generated course. Except apparently the grading won't be AI-generated. 🤔

The end of a long relationship is a mix of tragedy and terror. Blame on all sides. Thank you Jet Fuel Review for taking this sad one.

This portrait makes me wonder what would happen if my cat and I switched eyes. Most likely we’d both become seers.

I can vouch that Suite for Barbara Loden (Leger’s trilogy is so good) and The Taiga Syndrome are amazing. They are lyrical but also conceptual but also challenging but also also. I love books of this ilk.

It was a draining day, so I keep thinking about the man who said as I passed by him running in the park “there’s a turtle crossing the road up ahead…watch out!” I didn’t see the turtle, but boy did I look for it. I looked for it so hard I almost saw it.

I took this photo at the Roosevelt el stop in Chicago. Within a minute, I noticed 2 other people take a picture of the sunset as they came on to the platform. It’s beautiful that we all saw it and it’s beautiful that we all recorded it for no other reason than it was beautiful and we saw it.
