I taught my final 'Staging Politics' class of the year today: we discussed Beth Steel's 'The House of Shades' (produced by @almeida.co.uk in 2022), and the students had great observations regarding the intersection of personal and political identities in this haunted and haunting play!

I had a great time today with the MA students who take my tutorial on 'Staging Politics: Identity and Representation in Post-Brexit Drama'. We talked about austerity and solidarity, and they had very sharp observations regarding 'Faith, Hope & Charity' and 'Nye' (both available via NT at Home).
