I love seeing red squirrels darting around the woods at this time of year. My husband and I saw 11 the evening and heard more chattering at the dog from the trees.

I saw 11 red squirrels on my evening stroll, not unusual at this time of year, and it often seems like there are almost groups as we will see a couple of juveniles quite close together, with a heavier adult a wee distance away.
