I’m tired of talking about institutional problems as hypotheticals - can we please just do the work? And by work I don’t mean crafting another resolution.

I used to always paste large chunks of text into my in progress papers - notes I’d emailed to myself, references, quotes I needed to weave in - it helped me organize my thoughts and keep things I knew I’d use close at hand. Now all of that would flag my instructor that I might be cheating.

I’ve just been informed next year’s conference is in Louisville so let’s all go to my former hometown and eat some good food!

And I really needed sessions related to facilities and space - the content I have seen has been very helpful.

And that is my review - and my brain definitely appreciates a conference with fewer sessions per day!

But I do appreciate the mix of presentations by public and academic librarians. Conferences I usually go to seem to focus more on large, university libraries and as a librarian in a small community college I sometimes feel we exist between the two in size and scope.

I’ve mostly been going to small, focused conferences and I do find this one to be more expensive and thin on overall content. I also appreciate conferences that provide at least a shared breakfast. Also wish presentation rooms had at least one row of tables for laptop users.

I’m in Denver! But I went to the one in New Mexico years ago and it was wonderful - due for another visit for sure!
