I prefer automatic voter registration, ranked choice voting and universal vote by mail. Term limits can push out good public servants before their work is finished. The best term limit is an educated and active voter base.

It's the result of the degradation of our education system over the last half century of so. the GOP has been playing a very long game. We need civics education and critical thinking skills to come back to our curriculum.

IMO a lot of his support after the stroke were sympathy votes. He should have dropped out and focused on his recovery.

Absolutely. There are a lot of GOPers who are also clearly not mentally fit to serve and should resign or be removed. We need a cognitive function test or a neuropsych evaluation required to run for office now.

He's definitely not the same person who started the campaign. After the stroke people didn't understand how much he might have changed, or how long he should have taken to recover.

He should have dropped out of the race after the stroke, there's no way he had enough time off the campaign trail to recover fully. Resignation due to medical inability to serve would be very sensible.

When we have sane people in charge again I'd like to see Congress put on Medicare and Medicaid for their health care. Also their starting salary should be minimum viable income for DC, with raises voted on by their constituents. Voting their own raises makes no sense. Public funding for elections

In most circumstances I'd agree with you. In his case he's unfit for office and should have dropped out of the race after the stroke. DJT is clearly developmentally challenged along with the dementia, nothing wrong with that but he still doesn't belong in the White House.

Very likely his personality changed because of the stroke. Probably his political leanings too. That wasn't clear to the voters when he came back to the campaign.

He wasn't a Senator yet, it happened during the campaign. IMO he should have dropped out and focused on his recovery.

The GOP don't care, the cruelty is the point. Too many of the Dems take bribes from the same wealthy donors and will lose that support if they don't do what their donors want.

After Herschel Walker, DJT and Fetterman we need a cognitive function test as part of the requirements to run for office. Passing the US Citizenship Test and a full security clearance would be a good idea as well.

He needs to resign. The stroke seems to have caused a huge change in his personality that none of his constituents understood until it was too late. He should have dropped out of the race, Malcolm Kenyatta would be doing a much better job serving his constituents.
