Don't give him ideas

Maybe

Yeh, I know but.......I'm going to carry on being disconcerted. She's shown us exactly who and what she is over the last few years. If she proves me wrong for not believing in her current change of heart, all well and good. Not holding my breath.

I'd so want those pies to awful because, you know, "I told you so" etc. At the same time I'd really want them to live up to their promise because, you know, who wants a bad dinner?

I've had them all visit me here regularly since forever, plus a lot of lovely young gentlemen and some not so lovely gentlemen (many in nappies. Ugh). I used to mute them but now I'm blocking left, right and centre. Yet they persist. I'm really not their target audience. Ah well.

This makes a regular appearance at our dinner table to which the spattered pages of my copy of At My Table attest. I can't source spelt spaghetti (even here in SE London) but ordinary spaghetti works very well.

Agreed. Who are these actual people?*

*they are of course all fab.......but still.
September 29, 2025 at 8:10 PM
YES!! Needless to say I was shouting at the TV.
September 29, 2025 at 7:33 PM
So annoying that there isn't an 'agree' button.
September 23, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Agreed.
September 23, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Yeh it's odd really if you think about it. Suppose that's part of the show.
September 15, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Not that it matters one jot who I like or dislike
September 15, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Understood, but it's the first time for ages that I've liked both teams.
September 15, 2025 at 7:41 PM
It's scheduled for Sunday 7th.

In our very much younger days we lived in Crystal Palace and occasionally we could hear concerts from the park. But if you've never heard Black Box doing Right On Time live you don't know what LOUD is. There was nothing for it. We just walked the streets listening to them. Nothing else we could do.

Couldn't agree more.

This doesn't answer your question mainly because I'm the wrong (older) age group but Joan Hickson is my favourite Marple. Yes, yes, Margaret Rutherford is the bees knees but I think Hickson was better for some reason. Less comedic maybe? I don't know.

Oh yeh, risotto is a regular feature here. Just few ingredients, mostly stuff having around in the fridge/cupboards and a bit of leisurely stirring. It helps that my lot will eat pretty much what I put in front of them and if there's rice, all the better. I know I'm lucky.

July 14, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Yep. Couldn't agree more. He just can't shut the fuck up! Put an effing dock in it, Wallace, for pity's sake!
July 14, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Yep
July 14, 2025 at 8:46 PM
Wish there was an 'agree' button
July 12, 2025 at 9:52 AM
We went there years ago. Shamefully, I thought it was going to be rather earnest/boring but I couldn't have been more wrong. Fascinating and the audio description gadget, which I usually dislike, was very good too. Oh and it's absolutely humongous. Hope you get another chance to see it.
