The fact the police here have uniforms that say ‘secret service’ in big letters does not, it would appear, amuse them as much as it has amused me.

Delighted to be working with the Organisation of American States in Washington DC to think about how to understand and reliably measures experiences of people convicted of drug trafficking pre and post prison. What a great group of people working here together!

‘Dehumanising the vulnerable is a great way to excuse yourself from helping them’ - so so true. Can’t recommend this book enough.

Ridiculous use of public money. I’m currently reading ‘Poor’ - this child, and many others, should be protected through our tax money, not prosecuted.

I’ve just discovered this poem ‘Wait without hope’ by T.S. Eliot for the first time and it feels absolutely perfect for the end of a fairly brutal 2024 and the huge hope I’m feeling at the start of a new 2025 - a year of joy in the active waiting (delighted to just be). Love to all in 2025 x

Post Christmas joy of returning (slowly) to work. Son still seizure free and writing thank you cards, fire on, dog relaxing and generative justice paper edits nearly complete. Joyeux Noel!

So here’s some Christmas cheer … after a brief spot of brain surgery last Friday today I’m getting to take my brilliant boy home. Four days seizure free and counting. Merry Christmas everyone. Not a stitch of preparation done but we have all we need. #epilepsy #seizures #gratitude #greatormondstreet
