📢New paper led by @amsuffel.bsky.social in Nature Comms! We implemented a mathematical model to evaluate how vaccination timing and vaccine coverage impact measles dynamics, following the JCVI's recommendation to bring forward the second dose of MMR vaccine to 18 months of age by 2026 in England🧶
Impact of vaccination timing and coverage on measles near elimination dynamics: a mathematical modelling analysis - Nature Communications
In response to declining vaccination coverage in England the recommended age for the second vaccine dose has been changed from 40 months to 18 months. Here, the authors perform a mathematical modelling study to assess the impacts of this change on measles transmission dynamics.

Last month I saw Miss Myrtle's Garden at Bush Theatre. A beautiful and heartwarming story exploring dementia in the black community with the brilliant @drtasia.bsky.social as the dementia consultant and phenomenal performances from the cast. The play is on until July 12th - I highly recommend it.
