Electric car drivers, what car do you have? What do you like/dislike about it? Also, how do you recommend someone check to see if there home wiring is compatible with charging an electric car? Worried my current car will give up the ghost soon enough, considering leasing one to try one out.

Who is today’s Rage Against the Machine? We need some anthems for this era.

Hamilton, the wildly popular and fantastic musical, ends with the line "Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?" Those who study history, health, rhetoric, media, or critical issues know that a story's telling is complicated by who has or doesn't have power to tell it.

Friends of likemind. Go outside. Breathe in fresh air. Say a prayer of lament. Hum a song of praise. Don’t let the anger you feel at the rampant lies and injustice make you sick, but do harness it to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.

Hi all, I haven’t tweeted (what do we call it here?) much yet, but I am a Communication PhD candidate focusing on environmental comm and rhetorics of place. ‘Place’ and who gets to say what a place is, is for, and what it is called will be important the next few years (Gulf of ?). Nice to meet you.

No, the world has not breached the 1.5C global warming target.

It’s a climate target - which means it’s an average that must be sustained over at least a decade.

We currently sit at 1.2 C. Which is already very bad.

The science is clear: every bit of warming matters, every action matters.

At what point do we start referring to things like the California fires and East TN floods un-natural disasters because they’re cause by human activities the disrupt the natural cycles of things?

Great idea.
If you’re looking for a free way to support an author, did you know you can ask your library to stock a book you want to read that they don’t have yet? And usually it’s a very basic online form? Google your library name plus the words “request a title” or “suggest a title” to find yours.

Do the New Balance Fuel Cells running shoes not believe in Black Friday? Are they agnostic? Me personally, I’m a Black Friday deal believer and my bank account would like to invite the Fuel Cell into a personal relationship with the Black Friday discount.

Holiday pro trip from my mother’s house: if you forget to buy a strong cheese for your charcuterie board at the family gathering you can quickly find some by turning on the Hallmark channel. Happy holidays everyone.

Me as a Garnin watch owning character in A Quiet Place movie: [runs 13.1 silent miles home barefoot masterfully avoiding the aliens’ ire.]

My Garmin immediately after I complete my half marathon journey home: Beeps loudly “MOVE!!!”

Aliens unleash ire. The End.

@renewableenergy.bsky.social hi Jonathan, have followed your work in Threads and always appreciate your thoughts. Considering a 2023 Chevrolet Hertz used cars is selling. Wondered if you have thoughts on those cars. Mostly used for work commute and around town. Occasional trip out of town.

The episode of The Bear where Richie figures his life out and gets the power of hospitality at the swanky restaurant cousin sends him to is one of my favorite TV things of all the TV things.

Footnotes > Endnotes. I’ll die on this academic hill. No academic needs to lose time off their short life flipping or scrolling these pages trying to find that citation when they could just drop their eyes to the bottom of the page. These endnotes are gonna end me. Sigh.😌 🪦 🤓
