New on the history table this week.
Sacred Britannia

A timely and up-to-date account of religion in Roman Britain. It not only looks at the religion Romans imported to the British Isles, but it also considers what was here before. It sounds like it will make for a fascinating read.

A few words from Bookseller E about this month's thriller
"Gabriel Ward is a King's Counsel. His is a small and controlled life, one of routine, until the Lord Chief Justice is found dead on his doorstep.
This is a gem of a cosy crime book. It would make a cracking holiday read.

Modern Fairies, one of Bookseller E's favourite books from last year, has been released in paperback.
This is the story of Madame d'aulnoy's salon where the frustrated couriers of Versailles meet and exchanged fairy stories.
Written by a poet the prose is simply exquisite.
