I hate to tell you this but she’s going to get away with it. The university suspended her instructor and said she wouldn’t suffer any academic harm because of the grade. Next you know citing the book of Genesis will be acceptable in courses on evolution.

The instructor has been suspended (why?) and the University(?) of Oklahoma has already taken the student’s side by saying she won’t suffer any academic harm. Are they now going to give creationists a pass in courses on evolution when they disagree with established science?

To be fair, it’s not the controlled explosions that cause fires in ICE vehicles. They usually happen because of a leak of flammable liquid like fuel or oil or an electrical issue like a short circuit.

EVs are superior to ICE vehicles in every way except two … for now … range and refuel/recharge time.
There are already EVs with high voltage architectures that can reduce the 20-80% recharging time to 5 minutes or so. At that point range becomes a non-issue.

Actually, Germany is slightly better than the USA at 363 gCO2/kWh.
Poland still relies on a lot of coal generation for electricity so their carbon intensity is 650-700 g/kWh

The U.S. average is 384 gCO2/kWh so even a worst case day is better than the U.S. average. Also consider that the CO2 intensity of coal plants is 2,274 gCO2/kWh and there was a time that was most of the UKs generation capacity.

The U.S. also generates very little electricity from oil. Typically, the only oil use comes from diesel peaking generators because and it’s some of the most expensive power.

They are much greener. Diesel trucks waste at least 70% of the energy in their fuel as heat. Oil extraction is far more destructive to the environment than lithium mining too. And electric trucks will become less polluting as the grid gets greener with more renewables.

I believe it actually says that vaccines have not been found to not cause autism. This is true because it’s not possible to prove a negative. But it doesn’t mean vaccines do cause autism either.
