Chitown Astros fan here, this id a good hire, he’s had a good track record getting pitchers to their potential, took too much blame once Reinsdorf cut payroll and decimated the roster.

This is really bad, not because we could have signed him, but this sets the market and tightwad Crane is never paying this much for a starter.

Well if that means the dumb Altuve OF experiment is over and they realize he hits better at 2B and they live with the defense then it’s not totally bad
