It's pretty cool, people have done it for a while when the water is low but the Island was private property so you weren't supposed to explore it but now Fremont Island is State owned and it's allowed. I haven't checked water levels but the land bridge is pretty permanent these days with low levels

The causeway just goes to Antelope Island. You have to cross over the dry lake bed on foot or by bike to get to Fremont

Ever taken the land bridge over to it. Kind of trippy when your part way there and keep going and don't feel like your getting any closer

Powershell runs on dotnet these days but just feels so unfamiliar. I'm mostly a c#/typescript guy, reading python or ruby when needed isn't bad but looking at powershell is just rough. It is designed for scripting
November 2, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Data on the fly would be interesting to see for sure. I do wonder about replacing something like powershell as a lot of the times I've dropped down into powershell it's due to having to say download and install software, check if ports are in use etc. so more computer automation/project setup

So what's the advantage over just using c# with dotnet 10? Is f# more suited to scripting?
November 2, 2025 at 3:25 PM
I've yet to find a scripting language I like, if it's anything more than trivial I prefer to spin up a console app so I can debug and inspect as it goes

I think that is why kids love the mile, not the all out burn of the 800m or the soul grind of the 3200m

I've found running a local AI on that build a little bit of a pain with so much being optimized for CUDA

This seems like just one study and more of a comment on how increasing your single largest effort can lead to injury more than just overall accumulated volume.
