Look up the Lee Atwater quote. I think ppl who vote GOP should be taken at their word and no one should assume they're being scammed or anything else. They're voting eyes wide open.

yeah, i dont know. Im mid 50s and been a tech nerd and then paid to be a network guy for decades. I would say that ppl of my age at least all read teh same 25 sci fi/fantasy books and no one got any fascist ideas from them. I might be principal skinner here but reading generally seems less now

I disagree that their voters are hurt. Their voters love it. They are getting exactly what they want. No pool of voters are better served than the GOP voters.
