Mr. Pitman, thank you for your integrity and for your cohesiveness in an explanation that seems like it covers more than journalism. We as Americans need to take a stand every day instead of sitting back and just saying, "See, I told you so."

I do. I've said it on most social media: be informed and at times be quiet, but you don't have to be silent. Better listening leads to a better understanding and sometimes that helps, even if it doesn't feel like it at the time.

I've tried talking to them and tried listening to them and still don't understand why they are the way they are. It will hit them soon enough but until then, just nod and keep on moving.
