• Soul Comfort • Jin, who had been gone the entire day prior due to his commission work taking far longer than he originally anticipated, finally returns to their home in Kugane come the following morning. It doesn't take long for him to find his way into their niwa where he had found Suki going about her daily routines. Visibly happy and relieved by his return, she wastes no time in comforting him and welcoming him home. Depicted is the two sharing a moment of respite and warmth together.

After being on the fence for YEARS, I've finally delved into the Atelier series, and WHAT. A. TIME to do so with the announcement of Atelier Yumia.

I gushed to a friend about how Suki-coded Yumia seems to be and they gifted me this sketch!

Done by the amazing, talented, and amazingly talented S0LIN, she even added in a couple of personal touches specific to Suki! Namely the glowing lace choker around her neck that Jin crafted and gifted to her, she's ALWAYS donning it. In addition to this, instead of the little bird plush keychain, it's a smol bunny plush, can only wonder who it's likeness takes after~

• Exhaustion • It had been a long day, Jin busied himself with taking on a handful of commissions from Kugane's bounty board, intending to bring in extra gil to keep the two of them comfortable. As the hit its second half and the afternoon thoroughly set in, the viara shambled to their machiya within the port city. He slowly slid open the partition, crossing the threshold, his exhaustion clear to anyone who merely glanced his way. Suki, having been waiting for him, greets Jin at the door, gently grabbing his hand with both of hers, "Jin! Welcome...home-" The viara didn't say anything at first, simply grabbing and wrapping himself around her, his head resting against hers with a deflated sigh. The raen, initially caught off-guard, soon found herself a bit flustered, yet more concerned than anything else. "Hey...are you okay?" Jin nodded against her, "Mhm...just tired. Stay like this for a minute. Please." She complied, doing what she can to help him feel better. "Sure, sure..."

• Usagi’s Respite • The viara had been gone the entire day prior, the hunt commission he had taken drawn out longer than they both suspected. As the morning sun rose over the port city of Kugane, the young raen’s worry only grew as she found him still gone. Finding something to distract her thoughts, she would head to their tsubo-niwa, a small indoor garden situated at the center of the property. While tending to the various herbs and plants they grew for various alchemical purposes, she gasped at the sudden sensation encompassing her waist. In the next moment, she found herself sat in Jin’s lap, the man resting his head on her shoulder, his exhaustion evident on his features and in his voice as he spoke. “Mmm…I’m home. Sorry for taking so long, it was…more tedious than I initially thought.” She relaxed into him as she realized it was him, resting her head against his, “Don’t be sorry, welcome home…are you hurt?
