It’s great that Bluesky has more robust thread control now, but I still want post visibility controls. I don’t want to show up in discovery feeds all the time.

It can be done with open Bluesky using cryptography. Doesn’t even have to be strong, just let me lock posts and send the keys to mutuals.

First impressions of Bluesky

Pros:
- Refreshingly simple
- Feeds are cool
- Domains are a smart way around verification
- Open protocol is promising

Cons:
- Lacks polish
- Lacks features like MFA and post visibility control
- iOS app appears unable to unlock adult content?
- Closed access

I’m here now but probably won’t post much until account/post visibility controls are implemented, same reason I don’t use Cohost
