Uncertainty can be a major stressor for a lot of autistic folks. This isn't usually about control; it's about being able to prepare.
Knowing what's ahead allows us to understand what's expected of us and what we might need to meet those expectations.

I stopped drawing many years ago when the pain in my joints became too severe for me to properly hold a pencil let alone hold one with severe tremors. But I’m going to start again, because I miss it and I think it would be a good outlet for me.
