Writing rongs.

"Dave" at work. Gillingham lad, lives Madrid/Mallorca, works London. Posts mostly whimsy and delight in the small things. Interested in everything. Love is all you need. Love and money for rent. And music. The three things...
In a sport that fetishises selfish, whatever it takes to win arseholes, these are the moments I stick around for.

Grabbing the Earth by the pussy.

Can all we, globally, informally agree to refer to this "award" as "The Handsy"?

I find it physically painful that FIFA runs the sport I most appreciate.

It makes the FIA seem legit.

Re The Black & White Minstrels being around 40 years ago. Between the retches as they smeared my face in cocoa for our infant school production I asked loudly why the black girl wasn't being covered in flour and was quickly and emphatically shushed by embarrassed adults.

Everyone KNEW it was wrong.

Wan-Bissaka man of the match by a distance.

Even if he should have been sent off.

I see the UK media has decided that the debate as to whether hissing at Jewish kids can be "playful" and "not-racist" might not have been settled 80 years ago.

Again.

Kinda related - was thinking yesterday that Netanyahu publicly writing to the President asking to be pardoned would crush any normal human person's dignity.

We have a global leadership that looks at Rory Kinnear's Prime Minister in the National Anthem and doesn't understand what his dilemma is.
I'm mostly trying to stay out of US politics rn but the whole Sec of War doing the example of an illegal order to bomb drug dealers and start a war for oil whilst the Prez pardons a drug dealer is a pretty impressive shitstorm

"They fail early"

The critical bit of the Innovator's Dilemma that Silicone Valley missed.

Turn-off was several trillion junctions ago.

The AI crash is going to *burn*.

Given there is an entire information-economy between politicians, advisers, officials and the media of intentional pre-Budget leaks, it is telling that the only resignation is when someone leaks it unintentionally.

New hero.

London Bridge. 6.30 am. A bloke who would be immediately cast as henchman in any modern Gangland drama, with four Laboubous - one bright, fluffy pink, swinging from his rucksack.

When and why was it decided that "with pistachio" would suddenly, universally and with immediate effect, be designated "Dubai style"?

Always had a soft spot for Palace for various reasons. Looked the stronger team in the first half. The second was some of the best control I've seen us have in a match under Amorim.

Problem: you have two left wing parties in British politics.
Solution: start a new left wing party to unify the movement

I don't think I've ever seen a minute of IACGMOOH, but I genuinely hope Aitch is on his way to national treasure status.

LOVE that kid.

Fwiw I'm fine with the budget. Salary sacrifice thing is baffling and the Cash ISA limit won't work, but we need to start fixing shit after a decade of under-funding.

Struggling enough at the moment. No way I can afford to privately cover the cost of what my taxes provide.
