I do wonder how I’d feel about it without having seen the other movie first. Comparison is the thief of joy. Wouldn’t know what this could be. Except I do… which makes me really resent the major changes in the plot and how rushed it is (this got bad real fast)

It just feels like the difference between art and a product.
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t make it suspenseful though. The blueprint was already there.

Save the Green Earth managed to simultaneously be zany and bizarre while also pulling off gripping suspense.
Halfway point is when it started to really pick up. I’m 60% through Bugonia and I don’t see it building the same way at all despite being a largely similar plot.

He’s relatively talented and competent but he knows deep down inside he’s bottom tier of the “top ROH guys” so he only stood a chance looking good in McMahon land and nowhere else
