It was always going to be so sadly. Ever since he set fire to his ten progressive “cast iron pledges” that won him the Labour leadership, it was clear this was a neoliberal, socially conservative project destined for disappointment and failure. Imagine if he had delivered on his “promises” 👇🏼

Well thank you for taking an interest! Bluesky is fab. He pretty much disappeared from public consciousness so it’s nice to bring his story to life now and again. I prob think about him more because I’m approaching the age when he died now - I’m also a Rupert Davies.

It’s my birthday. An old crate digger friend has given me a MINT copy of Ellen McIilwaines first album, a holy grail piece of wax for me. Absolutely made up. She never got the flowers she deserved… rest in peace Ellen you otherworldly wonder 🙌🏼
