A new, different ⭐ was born!🤩
Today we started #STARDRY, an interdisciplinary project to study how #drying controls #functioning #stability in river networks through spatio-temporal changes of #communities🪲🦠
Thanks to my #EcologistDreamTeam for an amazing kickoff meeting🔝
Stay tuned!

When my #ecologist & #runner sides meet:
- The runner: yey, feels like progress!💪🏽
- The ecologist: mmm... What could be the R2 of that relationship?🤔

Yesterday I had a great time with colleagues from the Dep. of Ecology from @ua.es talking about #Biodiversity-Functioning relationships in #DryingRivers🤩.
Great discussions about how these systems resemble #soils & how much we can learn from them.
Big thanks to Santi Soliveres for the invitation!

Really excited to say that my #FirstPI project got funded!🤩
My PI-adventure starts with #STARDRY, an #interdisciplinary project w/ an amazing team where we will test how spatiotemporal #variability of the environment🍂 & communities🪲 affect #FunctionalStability in #drying river networks. Stay tuned!

How can we make our #ScientificSocieties more diverse, inclusive & equal?
The Gender & Science Commission of @aillimnologia.bsky.social gave us some guidelines to walk towards #GenderEquality in #STEM societies

Who in decomposer communities could suffer the most in #DryngRiverNetworsks?
Curious🙃?

Hey #ecologist! How do you picture 🍂 decomposition in a drier world🥵?🤔
If you're attending the #SIBECOLAEET2025 & you're into #Biodiversity-Functioning interactions in #Drying #Metaecosystems come to my talk on Wed 11:00!

So nice to be back & presenting some of my current & future research on #Fluvial #Metaecosystems at my scientific home!🤗
Thanks a lot to the organizers of the #Bioseminario at @um.es for the invitation!

How does #biodiversity control 🍂decomposition in #RiverNetworks?
In our new Ecological Monographs paper, we show that 🪲macroinvertebrate key taxa drive decomposition, while #FunctionalDiversity reduces decomposition #variability! Network-scale #BEF in action, check it out!

Hi there!
I made it back to social media after some rest
I am a river-lover, trail runner & #FreshwaterEcologist working at ‪@um.e‬s exploring how #Drying affects #Biodiversity - #EcosystemFunctioning relationships across #RiverNetworks.
Looking forward to catching up quickly with freshwater folks!
