The current administration has exacerbated US spending and further exacerbated the national debt, all the while managing to defund and cripple key institutions in our welfare/aid and regulatory apparatuses. And inflation has increased again.

This is an utter disaster of an administration.

There's a lot of BS lists going around attributing a lot of mass shootings to Trans/Non-binary perpetrators. They are false, including the Uvalde shooting.

There have been a few out of the very many that have occurred in the U.S. (mostly by cisgender males).

I could send armed soldiers and police to push out and/or cage anyone homeless. "Cleaning up the streets" as they say. But I wouldn't be "solving" anything. I'd be inhumanely shoving real issues out of sight.

Jordan Peterson claiming to value "precise speech" is like Donald Trump claiming to value "truth".

It's one thing to argue with reason and evidence with someone who simply disagrees with you.

It's another thing entirely to do so with someone who wants the opposite to be true.

You're more often than not wasting your time and energy. It's similar to when someone is intent on misunderstanding you.

Consequently, immigration restriction requires a level of police militarization and weaponization at an even more dystopian scale than the drug war. It is hard to imagine a bigger threat to a free society other than literal a literal comprehensively centrally planned command economy.

Both X and Threads have far more users than Bluesky. But X is a Nazi pit and Threads is exceptionally boring—and if you're looking to drive traffic, Bluesky outperforms both. So don't feel anxious that you're missing out by using this smaller platform. If you enjoy it, happily continue to do so.
