Seconding what’s been said about just soaking it up. Don’t stress about doing everything “right”. Follow along with what you see the folks around you doing. Try not to get too discouraged if it feels uncomfortable; everyone was new at one point, and it takes time for your bones to learn the liturgy

Me every time: “from the womb of WHAT? What womb??? There’s no womb for them to burst out of!?!”

Recently discovered a whole playlist of psalms from St. Dunstan’s Plainsong Psalter over on YouTube and it’s been delightful for this very purpose

First mass flying solo. Got to preach how incomprehensible worship is in a culture that values only efficiency and quantifiable results. Almost broke as the choir sang Seek Ye First while I was distributing communion

Got to baptize a couple new kids into the faith on my first Sunday as curate. Rector preached on why belief in the Trinity matters, and we closed with a rousing round of Nicea. Good day to be at church

Really love B for this, but I think that, if we modify D to allow for variable prefaces, the full scope of salvation of D + optional diptychs make it the way to go.

The way so much post-liturgical movement scholarship just takes this as a given drives me absolutely insane.
