The sky over New York tonight said 'I have opinions about local politics' and chose these exact colors... nature's timing is undefeated 🧡💙

Not including mailed ballots (more than 107k of which have been returned), this fully local election is likely to have a turnout that exceeds 2 million by the end of the night. It will definitely be the highest turnout in a NYC municipal election since 1969, the last time we topped 2 million.

In a shocking turn of events, all 3 escalators are up and running at the 72nd St Q Station for the first time maybe ever.

This is actually horrifying @nytimes.com. We CAN prevent it. And the fact that you and the gun lobby seem to do everything in your power to keep weapons of war on our streets instead of protecting people is beyond fucked.

Our 100% volunteer team from @fourfreedomsnyc.bsky.social, talked to thousands of voters. Campaigns that prioritize voters and community achieve results like this. We're proud of our team- @akselben.bsky.social won nearly every ED in the district, combined we secured 80%+ of the overall vote.

In today’s @politico.com Playbook, Nick Reisman tells us that Hochul is stripping Delgado of all his devices, staff, and office space. But I have to ask — didn’t we, the people of New York, elect Delgado the same as we elected Hochul? Seems like you’re taking away some representation there, Gov.

Let’s all remember that there’s a timeline for elections and mayoral removals, with lots of very hard deadlines. If the mayor leaves office before 3/26 we’re in for a special election. A non-partisan, ranked choice vote, free for all.

Glad he’s listening. But we shouldn’t have had to protest our own side to get it done.

Pic from today’s protest outside Schumer and Gillibrand’s offices in NYC.

Somehow, this isn’t even the most N@zi thing I’ve seen today.

I'm pretty gobsmacked that this could even be remotely possible.
