getting out of the traditional printing logic takes a bit but in my case everything I do is digital printed. I can stop thinking like a screen printer / newspaper ad creator guy finally lol

i got this book like 17 years ago and it totally changed everything for me - they do flat color zones by channels which is great for print but I usually just do it as a base layer, other than that, similar core method www.amazon.com/Hi-Fi-Color-...

Good luck! Yeah and the other part is having to match color shading to the inks takes time, but inking over it instead makes it flow more natural. You can always smudge tool the shading to the right spot if needed
