Maybe I'm weird but I actually want to see the support band, they might be amazing. I'd never heard of the Fucking Champs, but I'm so glad I got to that Trans Am show early and got to see some of the best riffage on the planet.

As for it getting to number 1? Well, you can't choose what music you like, the music chooses you. This stuff has been designed to appeal to lots of people, so it's no surprise.

It wasn't much better in front of the desk. Everyone around me was chatting away, which was almost funny when the band were trying to get through Push It Out. A bit too challenging for some people.

Though when I first saw the headline, I was thinking of the Shadows. That would have been even more surprising.

Also disappointed they didn't play The Monolith. Come on, guys, that would have given all the people yakking to their mates something to talk about.
