So, I got some vaporub inhalers online, for the fun key-clip on the packaging, turns out they are from India and the strongest spiciest menthol I have ever had. It feels like my whole nasal-opening is on cold fire. I can breathe again, but everything tastes like menthol, not great in chocolate milk.

Getting to enjoy my favorite seasonal decorations again! I’m not much for changing decor seasonally, but I love this ceramic light-up tree and the ceramic Nativity that my grandmother painted when I was little.

One thing going to work full-time has done to me, when I get home, I am done people-ing. I realized just now that I was on the edge of yelling at my kids for loudly talking to each other in the kitchen, so I took an anti-anxiety med to try and deal with trick or treating.

I know it means that I am adequately rested, but I hate waking up right before my alarm goes off.

I’m SO GLAD that I moved, but I’m so sad that I had to, and my friends back there are now moving two blocks away from our old house :’(

I’m really tired of getting yelled at for things that I didn’t decide and I’m not in charge of. By people who have no actual connection to the situation!!

The teenagers, in their civics class, are doing DIORAMAS of September 11th. I’m so glad that they’re learning about it, and their arts and craftsmanship is great, but all the little towers and planes are really freaking creepy and I hate it.

Huh, turns out Korean spoons are the perfect size for gremlin-style eating out of a jar!

It’s hard sometimes, when I realize another way I made myself small to try not to provoke my MiL. But, I made jambalaya tonight, for the first time in years!

I made Big Mac tacos again, they really hit the spot. Only wish is that I had a nice crisp fountain Diet Coke, but it’s too late in the day for that anyhow.

First came Encyclopedia Brown, a good teen detective. Then Wikipedia Brown who was fine. Now meet A.I. Brown who's always wrong & has caused 8 people so far to die. He's never actually solved a case, claims he's solved 40, all involving people who don't exist, committing crimes that didn't happen.

Tween vociferously objects to hearing Blippi. But is already wearing headphones listening to something else. And refuses to leave the room that Blippi is playing in. 🤷‍♀️

Just made dinner, pasta and red sauce with homegrown black cherry tomatoes - tasted like I added sugar! So nice!

😭💔 When you get to the end of the jar of dilly beans you got from your favorite cousins two states away

I went and saw “Into the Woods” at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and it was delightful, so I had it in mind, and now Joanna Gleason is a guest star on the old tv show we’re watching. She’s so great. I didn’t know she got a Tony for the Baker’s Wife. Now I want to rewatch Mr Holland’s Opus.

It’s no hammock, but feet in a baby pool, from an Adirondack chair, is pretty nice.

I am so so glad that my youngest has had a good time on vacation and loves his second cousins that he met, but I could do without the whining about wanting a sleepover with them. They live two states away.

Zofran is a magical amazing thing - 25 minutes after sub-lingual administration, and my child has gotten himself a glass of water and demolished TWO slices of bread! After not keeping *anything* down for the past 17 hours!

they do WHAT
For starters, ADHD is linked to decreased interoceptive awareness, which means it's harder for us to hear our own body signals.

I've seen one paper that suggested this might be part of our issue with being aware of time passing, because NT folks subconsciously use their pulse as an internal clock.
