It’s Long COVID Awareness Day. While the worst of the pandemic is over for most, there’s more we must do to educate people about Long COVID and ensure that those in our communities who are struggling get the help they need. That's why I will keep working to pass my bipartisan Long COVID Support Act.

reupping this to say there’s a special place in hell for people who charge to 100% when other people are waiting for chargers
Slow charging EVs at DCFC stations are the only thing that makes me reconsider EV ownership. Waiting forever for a Kona or ID4 to finish charging is just torture!

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

People sometimes make fun of science that sounds stupid and random.

Meanwhile, a study of lizard saliva turned into a peptide medication, which was turned into a diabetes medication, which was turned into a GLP1 weight loss drug, that just became the first therapy every approved for … sleep apnea
Breaking News: The FDA approved use of the weight loss drug Zepbound for a common form of sleep apnea. It is the first drug authorized to treat the disorder.

Akin to saying it would be ironic he turned out to be a killer since he once watched an episode of Law & Order. Embarrassingly poor reporting work!

I must regretfully inform @benjaminahr.bsky.social that he and Adam are responsible for the fact that I’m currently watching Babylon 5 beyond the first episode, which makes three non-Trek shows that @greatesttrek.bsky.social has put me on to!

please god make it stop, this is yet another catastrophe for TV/film and customers in the making

once upon a time, the thought of Star Trek being an HBO property would’ve delighted me. under Zaslav, not so much.
Seems like this WBD-Paramount merger, which is in preliminary talks, is entirely being driven by streaming consolidation possibilities. I don't think execs learned much from the Hollywood creative strikes.
