I just hope that the compassionate side of the USA can find their way to fight back cause at the moment this is going to send the world to a desperate place, which I cannot see any way out of.

where now reassembled is awaiting agreement of plans to create a larger hall, to house her, the Shackleton, previously in the Science and Industry Museum Aviation Gallery in Manchester, and other artifacts connected with Woodford, Avro or Bae

After being stored at RAF Finningley, she joined the RAF Museum at Cosford in 1973 where she remained until November 2022. She was then disassembled and delivered to Woodford,.

Only 3 of the 707’s exist now including the world. Including the one at Woodford, 707A WD280 is displayed in Australia at RAAF Museum Point Crook, Victoria , and the last 707A WZ736 residing as part of the Collection at Old Sarum, Wiltshire.

In 1956 she jointed RAE where she would go on to be involved in the development of fly by wire control systems and was the first to incorporate a side stick controller. She flew on until 1966 where she achieved her full airframe time and entered enforced retirement.
