Hangzhou company revealed that the incident was a test. The Hangzhou company maintains that they contacted the Shanghai robot manufacturer and asked if they would allow their robots to be abducted – which they agreed. This was an experiment. Context is key. 🔑

No you do not. I have changed my name 3 times and all of my degrees are still valid. You just need proof of your name change in case it ever comes up.

@roicapoi.bsky.social Great question! Enslaved Africans brought diverse spiritual traditions, not 'Vodou' as we know it today. Vodou evolved in Haiti, blending African beliefs, Taino practices, and Catholicism into a unique system of resistance and resilience.

@theguardian Your article not only misspells Vodou (the correct Haitian spelling) but spreads inaccuracies rooted in colonial racism. Vodou wasn’t ‘brought’ to Haiti—it evolved as a resistance to enslavement. It’s more than a ‘mainstay’—it’s central to Haitian identity. Do better.

You spelled Vodou incorrectly. In Haiti, it’s spelled Vodou, while in New Orleans, it’s spelled Voodoo. I archived over 10,000 pieces of Haitian Vodou artifacts for the Smithsonian (Marilyn Houlberg Collection). Please fact-check before publishing—you’re too big to make these errors @theguardian.com
