Just reading up on my home town of Bath in the BBC Domesday Project
Text from an entry in the BBC Domesday project that says: In Bath,we have punks and skinheads. Skinheads go around in gangs and they usually have no hair. They wear Union Jack T.shirts and Dr. Martins boots. They some times wear chains round their bleached jeans. Some skinheads have studs through their noses and ears. National Front supporters. If there is a fight between punks and skinheads, the skinheads usually win. Punks usually hang around in town. Most punks have different coloured hair and some take gas. They carry chains on their trousers and they wear leather jackets. Some punks have rings in their noses. Punks fight fight with skinheads but the skinheads usually win. Punks call the police the "fuzz".

Here are my favourite Jurassic Park novel covers. (More here, with customarily excellent paeloanatomical commentary: chasmosaurs.com/2023/09/22/v...)
Dutch edition of the Jurassic Park novel, showing a bizarre rendition of a T. rex looking over its shoulder at two people fleeing down a stream. The more I look at it, the more confused I feel about it. Russian edition of the Jurassic Park novel. It shows a head of what is presumably meant to be a fierce T. rex looking intently at something, but with huge cheeks and big eyes, it's oddly cute. Hungarian edition of the Jurassic Park novel, and the site of murder by graphic design. It features the classic Jurassic Park movie font, but that's as close to that property that it manages to stray. In the top third, three T. rexes progress from 3D wireframe to solid form (symbol of technology!) and scowl over a forest canopy, part of which which is pixellated for some reason. German edition of the Jurassic Park novel. It has a photograph of a very bad model of, presumably, a T. Rex (always a T. rex) in the lower foreground, next to some text which talks about the movie as a blockbuster phenomenon. Author Michael Crichton doesn't get a look-in, apparently.
