There is already a perfect technique for “stepping into a painting” that’s more respectful to artists than AI and easier on the environment, it’s called “watching a film” by e.g. Roy Andersson if you like Edward Hopper.

Always thought this gag in Flaming Carrot seemed familiar and just rediscovered it in Zap Comix. Is this a legit prank call that people used to do? Shall I give it a whirl? How do you even choose a random phone number these days without a phone book?

This got me a runner-up prize in a competition to draw a new tour poster for the incredibly talented comedian and magician Jerry Sadowitz. He said it wasn't a "humiliating" enough depiction, and in the end nobody won anyway. I love him.

One year my partner asked for my advice on what to get a female colleague and I suggested this radiometer, and apparently when she opened it she was visibly disappointed and someone whispered helpfully “you should have got her some smellies” :( Come onnn this is better than a bath bomb.

Just realised I have five of these up my sleeve. Cats only really have five key quirks though.
