Did I mention the awesome goats? Turns out the goat meat we buy from the butcher in town comes from here. The best husbandry. Lovely farm and lovely people. Though may give goat curry a miss for a while having bonded.

Filling the endless school holiday void we went to a farm on the other side of the valley. What a fab way to spend an hour. Here I am stroking a goat while my nine-year-old zooms in on my face which is his current favourite thing to do because “you look confused by everything”.

Took an injured blackbird in this week (wonky neck, maybe flew into a window) who is off to a bird rescue place tomorrow. Have become quite attached! Will miss fishing the imaginatively named Birdy out from behind the bog/under the sofa.
