Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.

My phone has full optical character recognition of 47,000 photos. I can search individual words.

I cannot search three words in quotes.

Computers used to be powerful. That power meant something. It was power for making your life better in sovereignty to your own interests.

And now we have this.

Yeah honestly the only appeal XBox has for me these days is the controller, it's S-tier IMO

I will say that my original Steam Controller is still in pristine shape, Valve builds great HW that's for sure.

Controller looks nice, but still a bit puzzled by Valve's obsession with trackpads.

I am absolutely disgusted. That's an Aliens Drone from the second movie, not the Runner from the 3rd.

Amateur hour smh

I never started with Spotify, I always felt they were shifty af

I'm still on Apple Music. Not the greatest, not the worst.

Dealing with that right now.

And the fact that it just f--king *lingers* forever is just so unnecessary.

ooooh nice! That's pretty cool that Preact has utilities to let you do that.

That @developit.dev guy might actually know a thing or two 👀

Even if used correctly, it's a shitty, horribly inefficient tool.

This is the... 3rd? 4th? Generator-based component thingie I've seen since I first put one together back in 2017

Always thought it had legs, but it never took off.

Very curious to see what you're cookin'

I'm going to assume by this post that you did indeed successfully make it to Atlanta, as that is the most Southern-ass looking breakfast sandwich I've ever see
