If anyone needs me, I'll be riding my bicycle through an enchanted forest.
My IRL friends aren't really into F1 and I am aware that the majority of my skeets are not really playing to a motorsports crowd so I tell my mum a lot of my F1 jokes and then she tells her pals so I'm now basically ghost-writing material for my 70 year old mum's F1 nerd ladies group chat.

Do not ask why this just came up in a professional conversation, which it did, but my all-time favourite chart on Wikipedia is the line of succession of Sugababes. It's like a 17th century schism.

I've now been waiting for a 6 month review with the specialist so long that they have to put me on a whole other waiting list to check for long term effects of the meds I take to keep me out of A&E until I can see the specialist. NHS cuts don't just prolong suffering, they create even more workload.

There are very few arguments for restricting micromobility (bikes, ebikes, scooters, etc.) that do not apply equally or moreso to cars: danger, cost, inconvenience to others, inconsiderate behaviour. And arguments against restricting cars (especially accessibility) similarly apply to micromobility.

Also, even if it were true - which it's not - why would you want Kimi Antonelli, the teenage rookie, to carry the can for it? It's not like he'd have come up with it on his own.
I don't think the Mercedes engine conspiracy thing hangs together BUT ALSO - even if there's any truth to it - absolutely no interest in Red Bull crying foul.
Toro Rosso or Racing Bulls or whatever pretending not to work as part of the RBR team was always a glasses and funny mustache level disguise but they've fully stopped wearing the glasses and funny mustaches.

I think another weird facet to this is if you say "I was driving today & there are so many terrible, dangerous drivers," people tend to be like "ugh, I know" but if you say "I was cycling today & there are so many terrible, dangerous drivers," they furiously disagree & imply it was your own fault.
Something I've been thinking about a lot lately is how when a driver does something wrong, the public and media don't smear all drivers as reckless assholes. But when a cyclist — and especially an e-biker — does something wrong, all bicyclists get attacked and blamed.

YES BECAUSE THAT'S HOW GENERATIONS FUCKING WORK!
If the entirety of your op/ed compares demographic changes in London to the Khmer Rouge's mass murder of millions of people, you are willingly engaged in stochastic terrorism, and should be held responsible for any and all violent actions committed by fascists against non-white people

Yesterday saw a group of 4 young adults at bus stop working out what tickets they would need for their journey, calculating (correctly) that it would be significantly cheaper to get a taxi, and calling a taxi instead of getting on the bus right in front of them.
"Raising the cost of driving EVs discourages people from adopting the more sustainable option."

Cool, now do public transport.
It'd be cool if the "increasing the cost of motoring hurts poor people" people cared anything like as much about cost to people who rely on public transport - who are disproportionately likely to be poor and disabled, and who consistently face far greater increases in cost.

We don't tend to get this much snow in (most of) the UK but the idea that grit will bounce off the road & clear ice off the pavements & bike lanes absolutely does not work. I know two people who fell on icy pavements last year - one was too badly injured to work that day, the other broke an ankle.
