Last, but certainly not least is our Founder and Director, Jenny Terry (@jennyterry.bsky.social). Jenny is a teaching-focused Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex, specialising in teaching research methods, statistics, and R.

Abi Jones is also our Deputy Director. Abi is currently a psychology and education Associate Tutor at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and a PhD student at Birmingham City University. Her PhD focuses on constructs related to statistics anxiety and teaching research methods.

We're finishing off our committee introductions today, by introducing our the rest of our directors! First up is our Deputy Director, Megan Barnard. Megan is an Assistant Professor in the University of Nottingham's School of Psychology, who is interested in statistics anxiety research.

Rounding out the conference team is Immad A. Shah. He currently serves as a Scientist (Biostatistics) within the Indian Council of Medical Research, and his research interests include biostatistics, applied statistics, statistical modelling, multivariate analysis, machine learning.

Also on the conference committee is Anna McGaughey. Anna is a 2nd year BSc psychology student who would love to explore the social media aspect of statistics education and how we can improve it to make it more accessible and engaging to all as social media is a crucial part of our society today.

Our 2025 conference committee also includes Jessica Jaynes. Jessica is an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton. Her research focuses on statistical methods and applications, experimental design, and survey design.

Letetia Addison joins the 2025 conference committee. Letetia holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.Phil. in Statistics from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus (UWI-STA). Currently, she is a Project Officer, providing Statistical Consulting on institutional data.

Dariyem Naandi Kruslat is part of the 2025 conference committee. Dariyem is a research fellow at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Nigeria, and is a member of the Professional Statisticians Society of Nigeria (PSSNG).

Sue Cooper also joins our 2025 conference committee. Sue is a PhD student of Psychology at Kingston University London where her research investigates the effects of presentation format and numerical ability on risk perception. She has also previously worked as a secondary school mathematics teacher.
