What I don't get is that they're always reworking the headlines. I guess for clicks? The "Democrats find a pulse" snark of this morning I believe got replaced by this, which is somewhat better.

Not sure how the Times can run this with a straight face. I guess we're all supposed to pretend 2016 and 2024 reflected a fully transformed polity rather than marginal voter shifts, and a wholly new ideology rather than continuation of decades of Republican strategy and messaging.

I don't know if MLK counts as non-religious, but this photo is doubly meaningful for me. It was taken by my high school history teacher, who was the first person to teach me about historiography, the economic interpretation of the Constitution, and so much more. npg.si.edu/exhibition/r...
