Kudos to the Democratic veteran lawmakers who are urging military members not to follow illegal orders. Doesn't anyone remember My Lai? Soldiers acting illegally violates their oath and subjects them to criminal prosecution. Be a Private Harry Stanley! justwarethics.com/2019/10/17/m... #NHPolitics

Yo, professional communicators: are you interpreting Bondi’s nonverbal as screaming “despite me lying my pants off, I’m having trouble moving away from the fan as the brown stuff is about to fly into it.”
“Will you release all the files within 30 days?”

BONDI: “We’ll continue to follow the law.”🤔

“You said no addition investigation was warranted. What changed?”

BONDI: “Information.” 🙃

Economists understand that to have a healthy economy there must be a balance between consumer spending & government spending. NH GOP messed this up when they cut corp. taxes, leaving little revenue for them to spend when consumer spending slows. This will make the recession more severe. #NHPolitics
Research from Moody’s warns that many states are in or nearing a recession. 📉💸

#NewHampshire is among them.

This man is incompetent to be President and the people enabling him to continue are complicit.
Trump: And you know, we got rid of the drip drip water, we call it the drip drip, where it drip drips out of the sink, states with tremendous water, so much water they have nothing but problems getting rid. They had restrictions on water. It comes down from heaven, right?

This is how you do it, folks. Don't like government? Frustrated by bureaucracy and incompetence? RUN FOR OFFICE! #NHPolitics
a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

Duncan, a political newcomer and former prisoner, defeated incumbent Darren Lombard by a wide margin in Saturday's runoff.

I don't think it's the pedophile angle that has Trump in a panic, he's scared of being exposed for the financial aspect - of being owned by Russian oligarchs.

I'm curious how many Democrats who are furious about last night's vote are federal workers working without a paycheck, have missed a mortgage payment as well as the car loan and other bills stacked up on the table? Or, maybe your business relies on air transportation to serve customers?

Tesla’s profit fell 37% in the third quarter. It's been in the process of laying off 14,000 workers. It had more cars impacted by recalls than any other brand in 2024.

Yet Elon Musk just got a pay package worth $1 trillion.

American capitalism is off the rails.

I'm guessing many voters who elected Democrats yesterday were motivated by stories like this. The video (not included here) is horrifying. Voters want the country to be a lot better than thugs pulling teachers from a class of pre-schoolers.
this morning, ICE went into a Spanish language immersion daycare and took a teacher from the building in front of screaming and crying kids and parents at dropoff and the daycare had to shut down for the day (near Lane Tech, where they were yesterday). Really hoping today's "theme" is not "daycare."

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
