Being on the internet has felt a bit like touching a hot stove all week bc my nervous system is akin to a raw wound or live wire in the aftermath of a very sudden, very tragic death in my wider circle. But there’s also things happening I really love and v grateful for so I wanted to pop my head up

Some out of context sentences from my writing lately
One of the greatest lessons of madness is understanding how much of our realities are subjectively and internally constructed. There is a part of me that feels called into the belief that some of the best art comes from spaces where people are allowed to safely lose their mind. The art gets made in the journey of first losing oneself, and then slowly finding your ground again in the process and exploration of making something new. In ways both positive and negative and wholly other from that dichotomy.

There’s so much energy in today. Obviously. I am trying to find ways to put it to good use, but there is only so much I can do from my house in Pennsylvania with this type of whatever. (good words) (not repetitive at all) (SO MUCH). I’m about the reference A Field Guide to Getting Lost again because it’s fucking good and relevant and timely (as is often the way in my life). In it Solint says: “Writing is the most disembodied art, and reading and writing are largely private and solitary experiences, so music and dance have always enchanted me as arts in which the body of the performer communicates directly to the audience, welding a kind of communion writers rarely experience.” This is the frustration. The energy of the day screams for deep communion and embodiment, yet it feels slightly out of reach still. Then again, the best magic is always made through tension. Holding it, shaping it, surrendering to it. Desire exists at the crossroads of longing and ease, tension and surrender. Words aren’t sufficient for the moment. Nothing is sufficient for the moment. Even still, I went for a walk to attempt to move some of the energy. Sent emails to local shops to get my Seeds of Creation project out into the physical world. Progress. I, fortunately or unfortunately, align closely with the archetype of a shapeshifter. It requires a well developed central pillar from which I can move and twist and meet the many faces of myself. Central missions. Personally, to be a good ancestor. The legacy on my familial stage is more important, more central than any legacy on a world stage. My story is for them, first and foremost. Professionally, to labor in service of art and/or artists. Broad, I know, but I’ve found it is the central thread through all my heart’s desires. Plus, I’m a fucking shapeshifter, you think I should pin myself down to a single focus? Don’t be stupid.

The process of writing fiction
I have a love/hate relationship with fantasy. The unreality of it. Dreaming of impossible things. That seem to come to me from nowhere, that feel out of my control, simultaneously impossible and completely realistic. I don’t fantasize about perfect little moments with no tension, I fantasize things that feel like they could be real. It makes it harder somehow. I recognize this is just the process of writing fiction. I was taken by one last night and this morning. I didn’t feel in control of it. Him showing up at the raging grannies (with _____, obvs). Him taking me into the stairwell. Conversation, then kissing. Dinner with the two of them. Easy, then tense. Honesty. Going to the bar for live music. Making out in the corner of the bar. Talking of fucking. Me telling him it will suck because of who I am, my issues. Telling him he needs to meet Niko first. _____ bailing because we’re in a brutal situation to third wheel. Back to my house to meet Niko. He goes back to his hotel, no fucking. I go to sleep in real life. Wake up in the morning and am immediately back in the fantasy. Picking him up for breakfast. Getting to breakfast. Tension, the good kind. Deciding to skip breakfast to fuck. Me warning him it will suck again. Fucking him in his hotel room. Being momentarily interrupted by _____. It doesn’t suck. Three (or four) orgasms. I feel them in my body in real life because that is one of my talents, to hallucinate coming. Ordering room service. Driving the two of them to the airport. Saying goodbye. Nothings changed, everything’s changed. Uncertainty. Maybe we’ll try to know each other or learn that we already know each other. Maybe it will fade into a moment never to be repeated. Uncertainty. And now here I am back in reality. My reality. Knowing this will never be. Knowing if it was it wouldn’t be simple or easy or clean. It isn’t even that in the fantasy, but still it would be rougher. Imperfect words and phrases
9/14/25 Earlier today I thought about writing to him. To you, perhaps. I thought it would make me feel better. To have someone outside, know what was happening inside. Except it's never quite knowing, is it? It's translating with imperfect words and phrases. What made me feel better was the closing circle for Kristianna's program. The walk to the lake and back. Reading Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking until it was finished. I woke exhausted this morning. Got up, had toast and coffee. A conversation with my mother. Went back to bed until to was time for the 2pm circle. I could feel the nervous system activation. Feel the fight or flight (freeze and hiding). The news is absurd and meant to terrify because they want so many of us dead. They want violence. They want war. From an intellectual perspective, I suppose 1 can understand why. They want power and resources, they believe the only way to that is war. They fear change. They believe the myths capitalism and colonialism have taught us and believe the liberals, the left, those after equality and equity are mortal threats to their existence. We're really just moral threats to their power. I don't think they can tell the difference between power and life. For clarity's sake, they are the republicans, conservatives, fascists, white nationalists, zionists. They are using this same verbal tactic to insight violence against liberals, leftists, trans people, immigrants as I write this. I'm not sure I have much else to say in this moment. To go into specifics feels somehow redundant. 263 words
