I was in East TN in 80's. At my church many were part of civil rights movement- several had opposed- one paid to play dixie over intercom at counter sit-in. But he had repented and was believed to be sincere by activists that went to schools etc to give talks on civil rights past and present.

I had 6- 15 year olds working their first job Summer Youth Employment who worked hard passing out smoke alarms door to door. So last week we had lunch and watched Strictly Ballroom- took a minute, "hey this is too slow" but by end they were fans. I still like it.
