April is MOGAD Awareness Month. I was originally diagnosed with NMOSD, but later with MOGAD. It’s a rare and often misunderstood condition. Here’s some info to help spread awareness:

MOG-AD is a rare neuroimmune disease affecting the central nervous system. MOG-AD can occur at any age, affects both sexes, and has no ethnic bias. It’s found in a portion of non-MS cases. Symptoms of MOG-AD include vision loss, fatigue, weakness, hearing loss, seizures, and more. Diagnosis of MOG-AD involves blood tests, MRI, OCT, visual field tests, and neurological exams.
