While the US clearly ranks low when comparing foreign aid given as a share of national income, one has to ask; why does the GOP consistently not want to assist those who need help, be it domestic or abroad? There is not a policy in their portfolio that aims at lifting anyone but themselves.

It's mind-boggling that this alone has not relegated Gaetz to insignificance to anyone except members of the DOJ. We live in bad times.
