While looking for an old song, that turned out to be 'Pressed Rat and Warthog' by Cream, I found this early prog band Gnidrolog. This is 'Snails' from 1972. Progressive beyond its time, feels very Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd with Zappa like instrumentation, I am currently painting to it! Thanks MsT!

I just watched Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Any adjectives I could use to describe it are wholly inadequate. I read that it received a 15 minute standing ovation at the film festival in Venice, but that too is inadequate.

In some odd way, the worse society becomes, the better I feel. Not because I like any of it, but because it justifies my nihilistic sense of foreboding. After decades of intense suicidal ideation, now I'm content to watch the society that never accepted me collapse.
Whatever that makes me, I am.

If you're an old #punk #postpunk #goth #alternative music freak like me, go back and listen to The Ink Spots from the 30s & 40s. Today it sounds dissonant and haunted, conjuring images that belie the original context. This style of music needs a revival.

This is Chief Logan of the Mingo Tribe and my Sixth great grandfather. The fought on opposite sides in Lord Dunmore's War, but later became respectful friends. I hope there's something in that I can learn from.
