i.e. = "id est"
e.g. = "exempli gratia"

But who can remember those stupid Latin phrases? A good mnemonic is to replace them with roughly equivalent English words:

i.e. = "in explanation"
e.g. = "example(s) given"

Or you can just keep mixing them up because you're a chaos goblin. That's cool, too.

RFK Jr. says there are no autistic poets, so we interviewed one.

Hear from Elizabeth McClellan, @popelizbet.bsky.social, an award-winning poet, attorney, and legal educator based in Memphis, Tennessee.
RFK Jr. says there aren't autistic poets. We asked an autistic poet.
"I will challenge RFK Jr. to write a poem as good as me any day of the week."

I just finished The Sopranos for the first time ever, and two things:
- I'll never hear Don't Stop Believin' the same way again.
- I'm craving gabagool.

Since Severance came out, my boss has stopped making us do team-building activities before our monthly meeting.

Everyone say thank you, Severance.

People saying that they wouldn't go to the naked supermodel beach if it caused degradation of bone and muscle tissue, and possible longterm cognitive damage, have clearly never been 15.
Talking about astronauts being "stuck" on the ISS is like talking about a teenage boy being "stuck" at a nude beach for supermodels.

If you changed the name falafel to "Bean Ball Fry-Up" it could've easily been in every midwestern kitchen for decades.

Main reason for "human-form factor" robots, it's that the physical world is designed for the average size/shape/weight human: doors, cabinets, desks, hallways, appliances.
Also, when training a robot using videos, sensor data, taken from real humans, it's easier if the robot is also human-shaped.

Ironically, though, I accidentally closed ChatGPT while searching for this, so it had to start over anyway.

As a friend of mine said about all this: I'm horrified, I'm upset for all the victims, and I'm also sad that this person I imagined was not what I thought he was. This is why it's better to have values than heroes.

I miss being able to tag the actual authors in these posts. Quick, society, coalesce around a new standard social network.
