I don't think it's their dog, based on their "unwelcome" sign.
He may be trolling.

I don't normally go into people's yards and up to their back doors without knowing them, but I feel like I was called here by this magnificent creature.

The homeowner said uninvited visitations happen all the time so they weren't upset.

His name is PopTart.

I know I'm a little behind, but I just put up my first Christmas decoration.
It's only now that I realize a word may be missing.

Earlier than expected book mail is the best!
Locke and Key Volume 2: Head Games just came in today.
I'm gonna collect them all!
Volume 3 will be here Monday.

On a side note, don't let that potpourri fool you.
It doesn't smell like anything. It's just pretty.

Finished up Dead Eleven by Jimmy Juliano @jimmyjuliano.bsky.social today and I love it so much!
Characters are mostly likable, but there are a few exceptions.
I didn't want it to end while also hoping there was more to come.
You should read this if you haven't already.
Such a great story.

Now listening to Tales of the Dark Feminine by V. Castro @vlatinalondon.bsky.social
This lovely lady is a veritable encyclopedia of mythology, particularly that of the Latin American and Indigenous varieties. But this encompasses a broader world.
I got the audiobook so I don't damage my hardcover.

A rare find

What the fuckin fuck?
Are these people real?

Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain?

Finally! I've been on the waiting list for this audiobook for close to 8 months.

Starting out strong!
I'm really interested in learning more about Clifford Island and the perpetual 1994 thing they have going on over there.
December 4, 2025 at 11:44 PM
That was a lot!
So well written, excellent narration, and a monster of a story.
I'm officially a fan of Keith Rosson @keithrosson.bsky.social
Soon I'll read Coffin Moon...

Classic HC weekly still going on, although I'm finding fewer than I'd expected. Was waiting on this one, and now it's here!

Edgar Allan Poe

The Fall of the House of Usher

Pretty!

Caught a new girl creeping around the patio.
That's where I feed the feral cats.
I want to tame her enough to bring her in, but she doesn't seem to want to be tamed.

Well I knew it!
Actually, Carrie and myself came out, literally, in the same month of 1974.
I even got this fancy (not) little 50th anniversary edition with an intro by Joe Hill from Waterstones along with The Long Walk HC on the same day!

The Devil by Name by Keith Rosson
@keithrosson.bsky.social
Motherfucker of a sequel!
November 30, 2025 at 3:13 AM
One of the most intense novels I've read in a while.
Man Jesus these people went through some shit!
Painfully frightening and relentlessly hateful.
I'm almost scared to follow up with The Devil by Name.
Keith Rosson @keithrosson.bsky.social wasn't fuckin around when he wrote this thing.

Kicking off the Christmas season proper.
Love the illustrations and the heavy paper.

Removing the shanks, skimming the fat, then reducing the liquid for a nice red wine sauce over the meat and veggies.
Don't wait for pictures. I'm losing my mind over the aromas here.

Pumpkin spice pumpkin cheesecake is fuckin amazing!
November 28, 2025 at 2:58 AM
I've almost finished the bottle.
Just me.
